A designed building is situated on the premises in the Skaryszewski`s Park in Warsaw. The main purpose of this design is the activation of "the new" part of the park. The building enables the new forms of spending time to originate and, on occasion, it show the latest technological possibilities connected with the firm SONY. The place promoting especially the brand SONY is the cafe. When the opportunity occurs owing to the fact that it forms possibilities of organizing various shows it becomes a media "face" as a source of the identity of this pavilion.
The idea of the design is based on the connection of technological stimuli (the light, the image, the sound) with the form of the space which inspires a receiver, giving him a particular sensation and illusion.
The received shape of the space, intentionally, is to give the impression of dissimilarity which is not the purpose of its own, but it is to direct a viewer`s attention to the opulence of the surrounding offers.
The created form of the building is the effect of linking the consideration of the ergonomic of exploitation, the conditions of audiovisual shows and sculpture composition.
A receiver entering the inside of a building suddenly finds himself in a quite different space. He "is suspended" among "amoeboid" forms and experiences a different kind of feelings dependent on the time of the day, the season of the year and the program. The internal sculpture forms compose the shutting spaces in the run of which the loudspeaker and the light holes are put in different places. It lets a viewer wander following the sound/the light...., it draws him into a kind of fun, in which a viewer sensitizing his sight or hearing follows the light and the sound. Besides, the building is equipped with the latest products of this firm and it enables the guests to become acquainted with the products and the guests themselves have the opportunity of testing these products as well.
